Welcome to the Microbiology Department's Equipment Booking System!

The Department of Microbiology is a component of RIBES, the Radboud Institute for Biological and Environmental Sciences. Here, you can easily reserve lab- and office equipment for your research needs.

To browse through the available equipment, click on a category button on the left to view the list of instruments within that category. Choose "Details" for a short description of the device, its availability, and who to contact for instructions on correct usage. Once you received instructions, click on "Booking" to book a time slot to use the device.

Categories you can browse:

• LC-MS: An instrument equipped with QTof technology for precise analysis of complex samples.
• Flow cabinets: Specialized cabinets, including the Biological Safety Cabinet, designed for safe handling of slow-growing bacteria.
• GC(-MS): Equipment encompassing gas chromatographs and GC-MS machines, utilized for precise chemical analysis.
• PCR: Laboratory equipment amplifying and analyzing DNA and RNA sequences, featuring UV and HEPA-filtered PCR workstations, along with Q-PCR machines.
• Office electronics: Collective office electronics, such as the department laptop, available for shared use among staff.

Many of the microbiology department's equipment items are not yet listed in this booking system. If you can't find the equipment you need to book here, you can likely reserve it using a paper sheet located near the device itself.
